I have been struggling with Gmod for the longest time not being able to connect to servers like I used to years ago until today where I finally found my long wanted solution.
Before explaning the issue I need to address something:
Bandwidth and Throughput are two different things in the networking world. Bandwidth is the maximum amount of data that travel through a specified channel whereas Throughput is how much of that data actually does travel through the specified channel. So for example you could have a highway that supports 4 lanes of traffic but during the early morning only 2 of these lanes are taken up. 4 lanes would be the Bandwidth and 2 lanes taken up would be the current Throughput.
With that garbage out of the way here was my issue: Steam had the permissions needed to send me WAY to many packets of data at once when using the server browser within games. This means steam would hog up all the traffic on my network not allowing anything besides recieving server information, keeping me from joining servers. Going back to the highway example this is like trying to fit more cars on the highway at once than the highway can support, it becomes overloaded and cannot respond. Before testing the solution below you could open cmd and try pinging www.google.com or any other website while trying to join a gmod server and see if the ping is successful or not. If not then this might be your issue aswell. This can all be limited with one setting within the steam client.
The Solution: In the steam client go to the upper left hand side and click «Steam» and then «Settings». After this go into «In-Game» on the left hand side of the new window and at the very bottom you will see an option called «In-Game server browser: Max pings / minute». By default this should be set to 5000. Change this down to 1000, while this will make your server browser load significantly slower it will fix the issue if your issue was the same as mine.

Garry’s Mod, сама по себе очень бесящая игра в плане багов и ошибок. У меня так недавно из-за непонятной ошибки, играя на сервере, происходили жесткие фризы на 30-40 секунд + микрофризы на 4-5 секунд.
С твоей ошибкой не сталкивался, но если ты так и не нашел ответ, просто переустанови гаррис мод (полностью удали его из папки стима, и все прилегающие к нему файлы, это важно), и загрузи заново, если не поможет, попробуй переустановить еще и стим (если у тебя довольно много игр в стиме, придется их потом заново загружать на компьютер, так что это довольно муторный способ, но должен помочь 100%, сам фиксил этим способом свою вышеупомянутую ошибку).
У меня еще и сервера оказывается не загружает все. Например загрузит серверов несколько и больше не грузит, нажимаю обновить список и сервера вообще пропадают и не загружаются.

I’m having a problem with this server that I’ve played on for years. Today, when I tried to get on, I keep getting «connection failed after 6 retries». This has nothing to do with my internet, cause I can perfectly get on other servers no problem. It’s not offline, cause there’s about 8 people online (10:21 EST). I’ve validated game cache, reinstalled, turned off router and modem, rebooted my computer, and even updated all my devices. If anyone has a solution to this issue, please send them my way. с пираткой не как ты не зайдешь в онлайн разве что через хамачи

Вообщем заходите в стим кликайте ПКМ по игре в гарис моде и заходите в вкладку Beta-тестирование и ставим chromium.Возможно вы играете на не Beta-версии когда сервер на котором вы хотите подключится играет на Beta версии у даёт сбой в результате вы не подключаетесь на сервер

Connection failed after 30 retries в CS:GO – как исправить

Что значит ошибка, причины обрыва соединения
Connection failed after 30 retries в CS:GO дословно переводится как «Ошибка подключения после 30 попыток». Т.е. игра пыталась установить связь с сервером 30 раз и ей это не удалось. Причин тут может быть несколько: от медленной скорости интернета, что создает высокий пинг. До блокировки игровых портов. Блокировать может антивирус, брэндмауэр Windows, запущенные на компьютере VPN программы или ваш интернет-провайдер.
Вторая распространенная проблема – недокачанные обновления или битые файлы самой игры. В таком случае вас не пускает в игру уже со стороны сервера, так сервер «защищается» от читеров, поскольку читы перезаписывают или подменяют библиотеки в Counter Strike.
Ниже мы напишем алгоритм действий, который в 90% случаев устранит проблему с соединением. Выполняйте действия в указанной последовательности.
Как исправить ошибку соединения Connection failed
Перед внесением настроек и проверкой файлов в CS:GO делаем три основные вещи: отключаем антивирус и запущенные VPN программы(антивирус обычно не блокирует нужные порты, но иногда такое случается). Далее идем в «Панель управления» и выключаем Брэндмауэр, он же «Защитник Windows». Третий шаг – перезагружаем роутер, что бы не было разрывов в Wi-Fi подключении.
Теперь следуем инструкции:
Копируем свой айпи адрес с сайта в буфер или сохраняем в блокнот
Заходим в Свойства CS:GO кликнув ПКМ по названию игры
После завершения проверки, запускаем CS:GO и пробуем зайти в любой режим и начать игру.
Если ошибка не пропала можно прописать другие порты в той же строке, попробуйте сначала «+clientport 26006», а если не подключились, то «+clientport 26007».
Выводы
Зачастую ошибка Connection failed after 30 retries появляется в CS:GO из-за проблем с Интернетом или медленного подключения. Реже в случаях блокировки соединения VPN или Брэндмауэром.
Если у вас старый роутер он может работать со сбоями, перед запуском игры перезапустите его, дополнительно можно обновить прошивку на официальном сайте производителя.

If you get DoSed/DDoSed, you can file a lawsuit, and your ISP can track down who, precisely, started the DoS attack (DDoS attacks, however, aren’t quite as simple). That’s really all there is to worry about.
