Отличительной особенностью CV на английском от резюме в российскую компанию является наличие разделов Professional Title, Career Objective и Profile. Эти блоки используются в качестве приманки для того, чтобы помочь менеджеру по подбору персонала быстро понять цели соискателя и оценить его профессиональный опыт.
Давайте рассмотрим, в чём отличие каждого типа вступления, расскажем об их функционале и о том, в каких случаях стоит использовать каждый из них.
Professional Title
Если вы хотели бы продолжать свой профессиональный рост в выбранной вами области, то вслед за именем и контактными данными укажите свою профессию: например, Software & Network Engineer. Это позволит HR-менеджеру быстрее сориентироваться.
Career/Job Objective
Этот раздел необязателен, но его рекомендуется создать, если вы собираетесь изменить направление своей карьеры в определённую сторону или хотите попасть на конкретную должность. Кроме того, Career Objective поможет тем, кто работал в нескольких областях, показать свою профессиональную цель.
Несмотря на то что в школе вы научились писать с использованием красивых эпитетов, в резюме им не место, особенно в CV на английском языке. Здесь главное — это краткость и чёткость. Чем короче ваш Career Objective, тем больше «баллов» вы получите от работодателя. Важно, чтобы этот раздел можно было прочитать как можно быстрее и извлечь из него как можно больше релевантной информации. Идеальный объём — от трёх слов до четырёх строк. В них вам надо указать должность, на которую вы претендуете, или вашу профессиональную область.

Если вы точно знаете название должности, на которую вы претендуете, укажите только её. Не стоит указывать несколько позиций. Если же вы не уверены в том, какая из заявленных вакансий подойдёт, укажите профессиональную область, в которой вы желаете специализироваться.
Перед тем как указать, на какую должность вы претендуете, вы можете отметить, кем вы уже являетесь: Recent graduate interested in working in Human Resources или Public Relations professional seeking full-time position as Public Relations Director.
Как вариант вы можете указать ваши профессиональные навыки и опыт, который вы хотели бы применить на новой работе.

Profile
Ещё один хороший способ начать резюме и облегчить работу менеджеру по подбору персонала. Profile является выжимкой ваших наиболее подходящих для данной позиции навыков, опыта и достижений. Эта часть включает в себя рассказ о том, кто вы и что вы способны сделать для компании. Особый акцент делается на конкретных способностях, необходимых для успешного выполнения должностных обязанностей.
Этот раздел рекомендуется включать в резюме, если вы отправляете его в рекрутинговое агентство (здесь он выполняет функцию сопроводительного письма) или ищете работу в высококонкурентных областях и хотите выделиться среди других соискателей.
В разделе Profile стоит указать должность или профессиональную область, кратко изложить свои сильные стороны, опыт, цели, достижения, а также квалификацию.

Несмотря на то что, безусловно, раздел Profile включает в себя самую важную информацию о вас, постарайтесь ограничить это описание до трёх-четырёх предложений, каждое из которых не должно превышать двух-трёх строк.
О чём ещё стоит помнить, составляя CV
Краткость. Следуйте простому правилу «Succinct, eloquent, well-structured»: лучше написать меньше, но чётко, кратко и структурированно. Ваше резюме не должно превышать двух страниц и должно отражать ваши самые релевантные навыки и достижения. Не стоит ради объёма приписывать незначительные способности, так как за ними работодатель может упустить из виду более важные факты о вашем опыте.
Многие соискатели используют излишние украшения и такие клише, как «opportunity to grow», «chance for career move», «room for advancement», «achieve personal goals» и так далее. Избавьтесь от лишних слов: они не только не несут полезной информации о вас, но и в большинстве случаев раздражают HR-менеджеров своей банальностью.
Нужные слова. В русском языке мы привыкли выражать свои мысли собирательными конструкциями, такими как «включает…», «подразумевает…», «состоит из…» и так далее, а также пассивными конструкциями: «была закончена», «завершилась», «было использовано», «было отмечено» и тому подобное. При описании своих должностных обязанностей мы часто используем такие слова, как «я должен был», «в мои обязанности входило» или «мои задачи включали». Им не место в английском резюме.
Ваша задача — произвести впечатление активного профессионала, деятельность которого приводит к положительным результатам для компании. Для достижения этого эффекта откажитесь от слабых, пассивных конструкций и прибегните к так называемым action words. Не описывайте задачи, которые вам приходилось выполнять, — расскажите о действиях, которые вы предприняли.
Вместо того чтобы писать As part of my final-year research work, I had to carry out a survey of attitudes to health care system. This involved interviewing patients at their homes. An opinion poll database was used to collect data. This project was completed on time and was awarded a top grade.
Лучше написать Developed and carried out a survey of attitudes to health care system as part of my final-year research work. Interviewed 50 patients and obtained a sufficient amount of data. Created a comprehensive database to analyze this material. Completed the project two weeks ahead of schedule and achieved a top grade.
