Гайд по установки BetterTTV и FrankerFaceZ

BetterTTV и FrankerFaceZ — сторонние расширения для браузера, добавляющие новые смайлы для чата твича, сильно улучшают экспириенс просмотра стирмов. Активно используется на больших каналах.

Расширение заменяет текст, написанный в чате, на смайлы. Без установки обычный пользователь видит только текст. Устанавливать можно только расширения BetterTTV, так как смайлы FrankerFaceZ уже в него включены.

2. Далее нужно открыть страницу расширений браузера и перетащить туда скаченный файл

3. Разрешить установку расширения и перезапустить браузер

Настройка BetterTTV

BetterTTV имеет разнообразные настройки в которых можно найти что-то интересно для себя, но обязательно должны быть включены четыре пункта:

— BetterTTV Emotes (активация смайлов беттера)
— BetterTTV GIF Emotes (активация гиф смайлов)
— Emote Menu (появление меню смайлов)
— FrankerFaceZ Emotes (активация смайлов франкера)

Так же в настройках можно выключить автоматическое проигрывание водов и потока на главной странице, а также скрыть рекомендованные каналы и многое другое, но это уже вкусовщина.

О смайлах

Смайлы есть нескольких типов:
— Смайлы BetterTTV и FrankerFaceZ, добавленные стримером для своего канала
— Глобальные смайлы BetterTTV и FrankerFaceZ
— Стандартные эмоджи, перерисованные в более читаемый вид

Первый пункт о том, что стример сам решает, какие смайлы он добавляет себе на канал, количество емоджи на добавление ограничено: 5 + 5 у беттера и 25 у франкера. Смайлы каждого канала можно посмотреть в эмоут меню, рядом с шестеренкой и кнопкой «Пользователи чата», под чатбоксом.

Глобальные смайлы — это смайлы, которые можно использовать на любом канале, у беттерттв их 100, а у франкера — 5.

Стандартные эмоджи — это смайлики которые есть в каждом месаджере или клаве смартфона. Беттер отображает их в более читаемом виде (выглядит как смайлы дискорда).

Надеюсь вы установили беттерттв, потому что чем больше юзеров беттера— тем проще ловить лулзы с чатика.

История и значение популярных cмайлов на Твич: BetterTTV

Чат на Twitch является неотъемлемой частью трансляции, ведь приятно разделять свои эмоции с другими и самым стримером. Зрители часто используют смайлики для выражения различных эмоций.

KEKW один из самых популярных смайлов для обозначения смеха в расширениях FrankerFaceZ и BetterTTV. Он стал набирать популярность в конце лета 2019 год благодаря огласке xQc и AdmiralBuldog.

Скриншот был взят из интервью испанского комика и актера Хуан Хойя Борха, более известного по прозвищу «El Risitas» [«Хихикает»]. Борх рассмеялся после того, как рассказал анекдот, который мы прикрепили ниже.

MonkaS — пожалуй, лучший смайл, чтобы выразить испуг и беспокойство. Озадаченный вид лягушки Пепе и стекающий по лбу пот максимально передают эмоцию сильного переживания за события в игре или на стриме.

gachiGASM и gachiBASS часто используются, чтобы выразить сильное удовольствие или удовлетворение, аналогично эмоции Kreygasm.

CatJAM совсем недавно стал популярным мемом. Белый кот ритмично покачивает головой, как будто в такт песне.

15 апреля 2020 года пользователь TikTok micklagi опубликовал видео, которое быстро разлетелось на мемы и стало вирусным. На фоне играет трек Джонаса Блю «I Wanna Dance». Неделю назад парень опубликовал новое видео с котом, под ним автору рассказали, что кот теперь популярен и на Твиче.

PepeHands используется в чате Twitch для обозначения печали и плача. Эмоция была впервые добавлена в расширение FrankerFaceZ 18 сентября 2016 года пользователем OinkerBob.

22 ноября на Reddit спросили: «Что значит Pepehands?» на что пользователь NudelNipple ответил: «Я дам вам реальный ответ: PepeHands — это эмоция. Либо BTTV, либо FFZ, не знаю, какой именно. Буквально показывает плачущего Пепе, который поднимает руки к небу, как человек, который только что потерял члена семьи и спрашивает: «почему Бог почему?»

В BetterTTV также добавили анимированную версию под названием PepeWhy.

We’re currently working on getting FrankerFaceZ restored on the Chrome Web Store. In the meantime, you can use the User Script version without losing any functionality by following these simple instructions:

First, install an extension capable of loading user scripts such as Tampermonkey.

Once you have an extension for user scripts, please click here to get the FrankerFaceZ user script.

Please click here to open the Chrome Web Store.

Problems installing? Try running the Chrome Cleanup Tool to fix issues with your browser and then try again.

Getting «Network Failed»? Try reinstalling Chrome as that’s an indicator that your browser has become corrupted.

Opera users are suggested to install the Chrome version of FrankerFaceZ.

Please click here to access the Chrome Web Store.

When using the Chrome Web Store for the first time, Opera should prompt you to install the Install Chrome Extensions extension for Opera. That official extension must be installed to install FrankerFaceZ from the Chrome Web Store.

If you don’t see an Add to Opera button on the Chrome Web Store page, you need to make sure the Install Chrome Extensions extension is installed and working.

Still not working? You might want to instead try the user script for FrankerFaceZ. Please note that user scripts are also not natively supported by Opera and you’ll require an extension, such as Tampermonkey for loading it.

Please click Allow and Install on the dialogs that Firefox opens to install FrankerFaceZ.

Problems installing? Try right-clicking and saving this file and then opening it locally.

Still not working? You might have an issue with corrupt extension files. Follow these instructions and then try again.

(Note: Please be sure to remove any extensions that you downloaded from websites other than Firefox’s Add-ons store before following those instructions. You can reinstall them after, but leaving them installed when you delete the extension data files may cause the extensions to become unusable.)

Your browser may be able to make use of a user script directly.

If your browser cannot use the script, you’ll need to get an extension for dealing with user scripts such as Tampermonkey.

Microsoft Edge currently exists in two forms. If you have not yet upgraded to the new Edge, please download it from Microsoft’s website. We do not support older versions of Edge.

Edge users are suggested to install the Chrome version of FrankerFaceZ.

When using the Chrome Web Store for the first time, Edge should prompt you to Allow extensions from other stores. You must do so in order to install FrankerFaceZ.

If you don’t see a button to add the extension on the Chrome Web Store page, you need to make sure the Allow extensions from other stores setting is enabled. You can find it at the bottom left of the Edge Extensions list.

Still not working? You might want to instead try the user script for FrankerFaceZ. Please note that user scripts are also not natively supported by Edge and you’ll require an extension, such as Tampermonkey for loading it.

Apple has decided to deprecate their previous extension model for Safari, in favor of what they’re calling Safari App Extensions. We have decided as a result that it is infeasible to provide support for Safari going forward. Our user script will still function in Safari, but we will no longer be providing packaged extensions.

To use FrankerFaceZ with Safari, you’ll need to install an extension capable of loading user scripts such as Tampermonkey.

Once you have an extension for user scripts, please click here to get the FrankerFaceZ user script.

Once FrankerFaceZ is installed, remember to refresh all your open Twitch tabs so that it will load.

Get the Twitch App’s apk files (e.g from here, or here)

Please make sure you get it from a non-shady source!

If you are in the same directory as the apk file you can copy and paste:

The dist directory will contain the patched apk file!

Transfer to device and install apk

Remove the builder again: docker rmi ghcr.io/bttv-android/builder

If you get stuck at any point, just remove the disass dir and try again

Custom Moderator Badges

You also become eligible to supply a custom moderator badge for your channel. You can upload an image and moderators in your channels will have that image on their badge instead of the usual sword!

Custom mod badges make use of the default green background. This makes it easy for users to identify moderators at a glance, even with a different image. As such, your images must be nothing but pure white pixels using opacity to create detail. Confused? Come ask for help on Twitter or in our Discord server!

To submit a mod badge, go to your channel’s page and find «Add Mod Badge» in the sidebar.

Custom VIP badges work slightly differently than custom mod badges. In short: There’s no built-in background color, and you can use any colors you want. Think of it like uploading a custom subscriber badge, or one of the other badges Twitch allows you to customize.

To submit a VIP badge, go to your channel’s page and find «Add VIP Badge» in the sidebar.
